Morgan est un architecte et éducateur engagé dans le développement durable, l’innovation et la pratique axée sur les matériaux. Morgan a obtenu sa maîtrise (M. Arch) à l’Université Dalhousie, où il a reçu la bourse Ghost, le tableau d’honneur de l’IRAC et le certificat Henry Adams de l’American Institute of Architects. Il a ensuite obtenu une maîtrise post-professionnelle en architecture à l’Université Harvard, où il a reçu une bourse GSD Green Design et a coenseigné des ateliers et séminaires en architecture et en design urbain. En tant que professionnel, Morgan a travaillé sur des projets résidentiels et institutionnels primés chez Mackay-Lyons/Sweetapple, L’ŒUF, SID LEE et Marosi Troy Architectes. En 2018, Morgan s’est associé à un ami et collègue de longue date, Matthieu Schleiss, pour former l’Atelier Schleiss Carter – un studio axé sur des projets répondant à leur contexte et ancrés dans la matérialité et une philosophie de design pragmatique. En tant qu’éducateur, Morgan a enseigné des ateliers, séminaires et laboratoires de recherche à Dalhousie, Harvard, McGill et Carleton. Il est également professeur adjoint à McGill et à l’Université de Montréal depuis 2011 et 2013, respectivement. Avant sa carrière en architecture, Morgan a travaillé dans le secteur des organisations à but non lucratif, pour des agences telles que le YMCA et Jeunesse Canada Monde. Il a également siégé au conseil d’administration du Harvard Club of Québec, du YMCA Kanawana, de Maison Passive Québec et du Canadian Passive House Institute.

Équipe - Philippe Drouin Architecte OAQ Chargé de projet
Au cours de ses études en architecture à l'Université de Montréal, Philippe développe un grand intérêt pour la démarche de conception et les logiciels paramétriques. Ces intérêts orientent le début de son parcours professionnel vers une entreprise de conception lumière où il contribue au prototypage d’installations interactives publiques à Montréal. Gradué de la maîtrise en architecture en 2018, il travaille ensuite pour différentes firmes d'architectures à Mexico City, Montréal et Paris. Cela lui permet de comprendre différentes manières de pratiquer l'architecture et d'apprendre sur plusieurs typologies architecturales et systèmes constructifs. Il travaille notamment sur des projets de tours résidentielles, de bureaux, d'écoles et de résidences étudiantes. Ses intérêts l'amènent ensuite à travailler sur des projets de plus petite échelle : serres, pavillons, terrasses et projets résidentiels s'ajoutent à sa jeune expérience. La photographie, les voyages à la montagne et à la mer ainsi que les spectacles de musique et d’humour occupent ses temps libres.

Équipe - Olivia Dominges M.Arch (McGill )
Née à Toronto, Olivia a déménagé à Montréal en 2018, où elle a complété à la fois son baccalauréat et sa maîtrise en architecture à l’Université McGill. Son expérience professionnelle inclut des stages chez Leckie Studio à Vancouver et Asquith Architecture à Toronto. Au cours de cette période, elle a travaillé sur des projets résidentiels et d’aménagements intérieurs, explorant les projets dans leur contexte plus large tout en se concentrant sur des niveaux plus intimes de détail et de raffinement. Olivia est présentement dans le processus de son inscription pour être candidat à la profession d’architecture de l’OAQ. Dans ses temps libres, Olivia aime passer du temps au chalet avec sa famille et ses amis, découvrir de nouveaux restaurants et promener son teckel miniature, Crimson.

Matthieu Schleiss a 22 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de l’architecture et sa pratique est axée sur le design et l’architecture résidentielle contemporaine. Diplômé en Europe et au Canada, Matthieu est architecte DPLG (Diplômé par le Gouvernement) en France et détenteur d’une maîtrise en aménagement, option architecture du paysage, à l'Université de Montréal (M.Sc.A.). Matthieu est inscrit au tableau de l'Ordre des Architectes du Québec depuis 2007, MOAQ, PA LEED. Au niveau professionnel, il a œuvré dans le bureau international Ateliers Jean Nouvel à Paris, où il a collaboré durant plusieurs années à de nombreux projets et concours d’envergure. Lors de son installation au Québec, il se spécialise dans la construction de résidences pour une clientèle européenne tout en collaborant en marge avec les cabinets d’architectes de Paul Laurendeau et de Nomade Architecture. Il se joint ensuite à l'équipe de l’agence Montréalaise L'OEUF où il collabore sur de nombreux projets d'architecture durable. Il y rencontrera Morgan Carter, son associé désormais chez Atelier Schleiss Carter. Matthieu et Morgan ont joint leurs expériences complémentaires afin de fonder Atelier Schleiss Carter en 2018. Composé d’une équipe créative et enthousiaste, Atelier Schleiss Carter se distingue par le souci constant de concevoir des projets uniques et de qualité, adaptés aux besoins et budgets de leur clientèle.

Équipe - Thomas Mathieu M.Arch (Ensam)
Né à Toulouse, Thomas a fait ses études et découvre le monde de l’architecture à Montpellier en France. Il passe sa troisième année à l’université Laval à Québec pour y valider son baccalauréat en architecture. Au cours de celle-ci, il développe un véritable attachement à la culture québécoise. Pour son projet de fin d’étude, Thomas oriente son travail autour de la question du ré-emploi en proposant une réhabilitation de la première cave viticole française. En 2022, il obtient son diplôme d’Etat d’Architecte et il est présentement dans le processus de son inscription pour être candidat à la profession d’architecture de l’OAQ. Thomas a travaillé deux ans en tant que chargé de projet chez l’Atelier d’Architecture Emmanuel Nebout en France. Cette première expérience professionnelle lui permet de toucher à différentes échelles de projet, allant de la maison individuelle au lycée public, en passant par des concours pour des musées. Thomas aime faire de la musique, aller courir et cuisiner de bons petits plats pendant son temps libre.

Née à Vancouver, Téa a déménagé à Montréal en 2016 pour étudier l’architecture à l’Université McGill, où elle a obtenu son baccalauréat. Après l’obtention de son diplôme, elle a fait de la recherche à McGill et a travaillé chez Architecture Pour Tous et à l’Institut national de la recherche scientifique, avant de rejoindre l’Atelier Schleiss Carter. Elle termine actuellement sa maîtrise professionnelle en architecture à l’Université McGill. Dans ses temps libres, elle aime explorer avec son gros chien Winston, aller à des concerts et découvrir de nouveaux passe-temps.

Équipe - Stavros Kondeas M.Arch (Dalhousie) Candidat à la profession d’architecte OAQ
Né à Montréal, Stavros a déménagé en Nouvelle-Écosse pour étudier l'architecture à l'Université Dalhousie en 2017. Pendant sa maîtrise en architecture, sa recherche sur les sites urbains post-industriels lui a valu la bourse d'excellence en conception de l’Institut Canadien de la Construction en Acier (ICCA) et le prix de thèse de maîtrise. Avant de rejoindre l'atelier, Stavros a travaillé chez FBM, basé à Halifax, où il a acquis de l'expérience dans des projets en bois massif, de type public et résidentiel. De plus, son intérêt pour la recherche et la représentation architecturale a été mis en avant à la Biennale de Venise 2023 et à la Triennale de Lisbonne 2022. Pendant son temps sur la côte est, Stavros aimait passer du temps près de l'océan, jouer au curling et apprendre à tisser.

Adeline a d’abord étudié en Belgique, où elle a acquis une bonne compréhension de l’environnement bâti et des techniques de construction. Elle a ensuite poursuivi sa maitrise à l’Université Laval. Là, elle a proposé un essai-(projet) complet visant à révéler la beauté et la poétique quotidienne de nos villes notamment de la ville de Québec. Suite à sa graduation, en 2018, Adeline arrive à Montréal et travaille à la Pépinière/Espace collectif, NÓS et Cardin Julien. Adeline pense que pour se valoir, toutes interventions architecturales se doit d’être réfléchie et motivée. Elle est inscrite au tableau de l'Ordre des Architectes du Québec depuis 2022. En plus d’aimer flâner en ville et à la campagne, lors de ses temps libres, Adeline aime découvrir des cultures et faire toutes sortes d’expériences culinaires.

Équipe - Amélie Savoie-Saumure Architecte OAQ Chargée de projet
Née à Montréal, Amélie est une architecte cumulant plusieurs années d’expérience dans le domaine de l’architecture. Diplômée de l’Université McGill (M.Arch), sa collaboration sur le projet acclamé All At Sea (2019) lui gagna plusieurs prix, dont la deuxième place dans le concours du dessin de l’année de l’Université d’Aarhus, au Danemark, et le prix du dessin de l’année d’Archisource. Du côté professionnel, Amélie a travaillé au musée des beaux-arts du Canada comme conceptrice d’exposition, chez CS Design (agence d’éclairage architectural) comme designer junior, ainsi que des stages chez Yelle Maillé (Montréal) et K.F.S. International (Shanghai). Elle est inscrite au tableau de l'Ordre des Architectes du Québec depuis 2022 et travaille au bureau depuis octobre 2019. Dans son temps libre, Amélie cultive un jardin de fleurs sauvages et joue au softball. Elle fait également de la poterie, passe-temps qu’elle développe depuis quelques années.

During his studies in architecture at the University of Montreal, Philippe developed a great interest in the design process and parametric software. These interests directed the beginning of his professional career towards a lighting design company where he contributes to the prototyping of public interactive installations in Montreal. Graduated from a master's degree in architecture in 2018, he then worked for various architectural firms in Mexico City, Montreal and Paris. This allows him to understand different ways of practicing architecture and to learn about several architectural typologies and constructive systems. He works in particular on projects for residential towers, offices, schools and student residences. His interests then lead him to work on smaller-scale projects: greenhouses, pavilions, terraces and residential projects are added to his young experience. Photography, trips to the mountains and the sea as well as music and comedy shows occupy his free time.

Originally from Montreal, Stavros moved to Nova Scotia to study architecture at Dalhousie University en 2017. His work on post-industrial urban sites during his Master of Architecture degree earned him the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) Design Excellence Scholarship and Graduate Thesis Prize. Before joining the Atelier, Stavros worked with the Halifax-based firm FBM, where he gained experience in mass-timber, public, and residential projects. Additionally, his interests in architectural research and representation have been exhibited at the 2023 Venice Biennale and the 2022 Lisbon Triennale. While on the east-coast, Stavros enjoyed spending time by the ocean, curling, and learning how to weave.

With 22 years of experience in the field of architecture, Matthieu’s practice is centered on contemporary residential design and architecture. Having studied in Europe and Canada, Matthieu is a DPLG (certified by the government) in France and holds a master’s degree in planning, landscape architecture option, from the University of Montréal (M. Sc. A.). Matthieu is registered with the Ordre des Architectes du Québec since 2007, MOAQ, LEED AP. Professionally, he has worked in the world-renowned office of Ateliers Jean Nouvel in Paris, where he collaborated for several years on major projects and competitions. After moving to Quebec, he specialized in residential construction, for a largely European clientele, while also collaborating with the architectural offices of Paul Laurendeau and Nomade Architecture. For his final project, Thomas focused his work on the question of reuse by proposing the rehabilitation of the first French wine cellar. In 2022, he obtained his State Diploma in Architecture in France and is currently in the process of registering as a candidate for the architectural profession with the OAQ. Thomas worked for two years as a project manager at Atelier d’Architecture Emmanuel Nebout in France. This first professional experience allowed him to work on projects of different scales, ranging from single-family homes to public high schools, as well as competitions for museums. In his free time, Thomas enjoys making music, going for runs, and cooking delicious homemade dishes.

Born in Montreal, Amélie is an architect with several years of professional experience in the field of architecture. Earning a Masters degree in Architecture from McGill Univerity in 2019, she collaborated on the acclaimed project All At Sea which received second place in Aarhus University’s coveted Drawing of the Year competition (Denmark, 2019) and Archisource’s award for Drawing of the Year. Her work credentials include associate designer at the National Gallery of Canada, junior designer at the Montreal lighting design firm CS Design, as well as internships for Yelle Maillé (Montreal) and K.F.S. International (Shanghai). Amélie is registered with the Ordre des Architectes du Québec since 2022. In her free time, Amélie keeps a wildflower garden and plays softball. She’s also been dedicating time to learn pottery, a hobby she’s been loving to do for a few years.

Born in Toronto, Olivia moved to Montreal in 2018 where she completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture at McGill University. Her professional experience includes internships for Leckie Studio in Vancouver and Asquith Architecture in Toronto. Throughout this time, she worked on residential architecture and interiors, exploring projects in their broader context and focusing on more intimate levels of detail and refinement. In her free time, Olivia enjoys spending time at the cottage with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and walking her miniature dachshund, Crimson.
